Based on the above ccnsiderations, the HazMat Subcommittee will develop <br /> annual educational objectives and materials to ensure that all staff receives the <br /> appropriate training as required. <br /> C. Employees involved in the handling, storing or disposing of hazardous waste <br /> shall: <br /> 1. Be trained appropriately based on affiliate's specific requirements. <br /> Records of training provided to employees will be documented. <br /> 2. The training provided will ensure that all regulatory requirements are met. <br /> D. Documented department specific training regarding new cherricals/hazardous <br /> materials is required and is performed by the department manager/director, or <br /> designee.The department manager/director is responsible for providing <br /> employees with safety training and maintaining training documentation. <br /> E. Ongoing training is provided by department managers/directors, HealthStream <br /> modules, Education and/or the HazMat Coordinator. <br /> F. Hazardous materials and waste management orientation and ongoing education <br /> is provided to the medical staff in the form of educational information safety <br /> bulletin and through the distribution of the monthly Sutter Health Risk Files Safety <br /> Newsletter. <br /> G. Volunteers receive general hazardous materials and waste management training <br /> through initial orientation and during their annual in-service. <br /> H.
