B. Nursing Services: (cont'd) <br />suffering from a disease in a communicable form. Nursin® care , <br />equipment, when not single -use disposable materials, will be auto- <br />claved, otherwise sterilized or disinfected as appropriate to the <br />equipment and its use. <br />Observations of any suspected infections of patients or staff will <br />be reported to Nursing and Administration. Written policies and <br />procedures for infection control will be available to all staff. <br />An active inservice training program giving appropriate emphasis <br />to infection control aspects of 'Nursing Services will be ongoing <br />in the facility. <br />C. Dietary: <br />The dietary department will comply with all State and Federal stan- <br />dards pertaining to personnel, sources of food, contamination, <br />storage, preparation, handling and serving. Dietary personnel will <br />not be allowed to work when suffering from a disease in communicable <br />form. <br />An active inservice training program, giving appropriate emphasis <br />to infection control aspects of dietary services, will be ongoing <br />in the facility. No employee will work in other departments on the <br />same day they work in the dietary department. <br />D. Housekeeping: <br />Housekeeping staff will be employed in sufficient number to provide <br />a safe and sanitary environment.
