Hazardous MaterialIncident <br /> Internal Hazardous Material Incident <br /> Spill Response The Spill Response Team determines if total or partial evacuation is <br /> Team necessary in the event of a hazardous material spill. The Spill Response Team <br /> consists of: <br /> • Executive director <br /> • Director of nursing services <br /> • Maintenance supervisor <br /> • Department heads <br /> In case of spill In the event of a hazardous material spill, follow this procedure: <br /> Step Who Action <br /> 1 Person Secure the immediate area of the spill to prevent <br /> discovering associates and/or residents from being exposed, and <br /> the spill then notify a supervisor. <br /> 2 Supervisor or Assemble the Spill Response Team to evaluate the <br /> person in situation and determine if evacuation is necessary <br /> charge (either partial or total). <br /> IF ... THEN ... <br /> Evacuation Notify local authorities (fire, <br /> is necessary police,hospital, Local <br /> Emergency Preparedness <br /> Committee), and evacuate <br /> according to Evacuation plan <br /> (Tab 3). <br /> Evacuation is Focus on containing and <br /> not necessary cleaning up the spill.
