The Administrator oversees the Medical <br /> Waste Management Plan. <br /> The Director of Staff Development is responsible for the implementation of the <br /> Medical Waste Management Plan. <br /> All staff of Vienna Nursing and Rehabilitation Center generating medical waste <br /> will: <br /> • Comply with the California Medical Waste Management Act and all other <br /> federal, state and requirements set out in this plan involving biohazardous <br /> waste disposal. <br /> • Complete and maintain the required safety training prior to handling, <br /> generating, or transporting medical waste. <br /> Immediately report exposure or spills involving biohazardous materials, <br /> including biohazardous waste. <br /> • Nursing staff and other assigned staff responsible for maintenance of the <br /> biohazard waste storage area and facilitates the pick-up of medical waste with <br /> Stericycle will complete Vienna's Medical Waste Management Training.
