Types of medical waste generated at our facility are as follows: blood and body fluids, sharps, isolation <br />wastes, and wound dressings. <br />2. An estimated monthly amount of medical waste generated at our facility is 375 lbs. <br />3. Medical Waste handling procedures: <br />a. All regtilated waste destined for disposal shall be placed in closable leakproof containers or bags <br />that are color coded or labeled as required and stored in an identified closet until BFI Medical <br />Waste Haulers picks it up. <br />b. Storage area is a large closet in west wing of the facility. We only use infectious waste boxes <br />and bags supplied by BFI. BFI will pick up weekly. <br />c. No on site treatment. <br />d.
