• Sharp container receptacles will be placed at eye-level to personnel with easy <br /> access and visualization <br /> • Needles will not be recapped, purposely bent or broken by hand, removed <br /> from disposable syringes or otherwise manipulated by hand <br /> • When containers are full they will be removed and place in a Bio-Hazard <br /> barrel located in the accumulation "Bio-Hazard" room <br /> • All expired pharmaceutical medications will be put in a plastic Blue Cap <br /> sealed Bio-Hazard container and label "Incineration Only" on the Lid and all <br /> visible lateral sides of the container. When the container is full, lock and seal <br /> the cap and place on the floor in the Bio-Hazard room to be pick up by <br /> vendor <br /> Nursing protective wear, supplies and Linen disposing <br /> All reusable gowns and linens that has been heavy soiled with Bio-Hazard waste, <br /> dressings, disposable gowns, masks, and gloves <br /> • These items are to be placed in a Red Bio-Hazard bag and tied securely at the <br /> place of origin. <br /> • The person on the inside of room shall place the Red Bio-Hazard bag at the <br /> entrance of the room <br /> • He person on the outside of the room will hold open a clean Red Bio-Hazard <br /> bag while the person on the inside of room places the soiled red Bio-hazard <br /> bag into the clean bag <br /> • Red Bio-Hazard bags are to be transported and placed into a Bio-Hazard <br /> barrel located in the accumulating room <br /> Revised 08/15/2012 <br />
