DISINFECTION PROCEDURES <br />DISINFECTION <br />STERLIZATION <br />1. Unit Cleanup <br />A. Tray to sink <br />B. Remove old Gloves into Biohazard <br />C. Put on Nitryl Gloves <br />D. Scrub instruments down <br />E. Ultrasonic for 20 minutes, if needed <br />F. Rinse off ultrasonic'solution <br />G. Instruments into sterlization bags <br />H.Disinfect with Cavicide Nitryl Gloves <br />I. Sterlize Instruments <br />J. Wash Hands <br />K. Reglove and with head rest cover as a <br />bag remove plastic coverings <br />L. Disinfect surfaces with Cavicide or. other <br />Solution and wipe with paper towel or 4x4 <br />Gauze <br />M. If after a surgery or scaling, clean suction <br />lines with: I. DRI CLAVE Solution ( <br />I scoop in I gallon cold water) or similar <br />disinfectant; 2. Suction entire gallon. <br />N. Disinfect with Cavicide the suction areas. <br />O. Remove gloves and dispose into biohazard <br />P. Wash hands <br />Q. Place barriers <br />R. Remove sterlized Instruments from <br />autoclave <br />S. After drying, stamp with today's date. <br />T. If bagged and self sealed, 1 mo. outdate <br />U. If bagged and taped, 6 mo. outdate. <br />2. X -Ray film may be disinfected with Cavicide <br />before processing.. Remember to place <br />lead foil in lead foil container <br />9 <br />
