After receiving your emails,
contacted Streamline to discuss your concerns since they are the provider of the hamper bags.Streamline proceeded to tell me they received written
communicate from SuperLink Plastics, who provided the balers and oversees the recycling, stating we are not complying with the terms of the recycling
program.
Streamline advised me that SuperLink has put us on notice since they are finding trash and medical waste in plastic bales originating from our facilities in
Tampa,Mebane,Sugariand and LA. LA was notified earlier this year(refer to the attached communication)of this issue and I was informed today that
the issue has not been properly addressed. Streamline will be sending me written communication, along with pictures of what the recycler is finding in our
bales. Any penalties that are assessed will be deducted from money owed to Synergy.
Osi/Matt:Could you please notify all sites immediately that this practice MUST stop. Based on my conversation with Streamline,I believe SuperLink is
going to cease picking-up bales from the sites mentioned above. What I don't know is if they are going to cease the program completely,or until such
time that we can guarantee them no medical waste or trash will be in the bales.Once I hear back from Streamline on the status of the recycling program
will let you know.
5/7/2014
