This plan has been developed <br /> by American Medical Response (AMR) Safety and Risk Management <br /> (SRM)Department for the AMR San Joaquin County Operations. <br /> The SRM Manager, David Caraveo, and Operations Supervisor, Rich <br /> Silva are responsible for implementation of this plan. San Joaquin County <br /> Operations is classified as a Large Generator of Infectious Wastes by the <br /> San Joaquin County Health Department. <br /> 2.0 PURPOSE: <br /> To eliminate or minimize employee occupational exposure to blood and / <br /> or Other Potentially Infected Materials (OPIM) and to comply with the <br /> California Department of Health Services, Medical Waste Management <br /> Act of the Health& Safety Code, Sections 117600— 118360. <br /> 3.0 FACILITY IDENTIFICATION: <br /> 3.1 American Medical Response Operations of San Joaquin County has <br /> been identified as a Large Quantity Generator of Infectious Waste / <br /> Medical Wastes and has the responsibility for filing this plan with the <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health. <br /> 1 <br />
