HSC 118275 -Medical, biohazardous,sharps,trace chemo, pathology, or pharmaceutical waste shall be segregated <br /> and contained pursuant to this section. The container shall be properly labeled. <br /> OBSERVATIONS: <br /> 1. The lid of the pharmaceutical waste container located at the nurses station was not closed when it was not in use (see PHOTO <br /> 2). <br /> 2. Tubing was absefved outside of the sharps container at station#7 (see PHOTO 1).—CORRECTED ON SITE. <br /> CORRECTIVE 6,CTION: <br /> 1. Nonradioactive aid non-RCRA pharmaceutical wastes, that are regulated as medical waste, shall be placed in a container or <br /> secondary containe-labeled with the words"HIGH HEAT OR INCINERATION ONLY" on the lid and sides, so as to be visible <br /> from any lateral d rection. Ensure the lid of the container is closed when it is not in use. Provide EHD photographic evidence of <br /> correction. <br /> 2. Sharps waste shall be contained in a United State Food and Drug Administration approved sharps container. Ensure all waste <br /> is contained ins de of the sharps container. <br /> Correct all violations and provide evidence of corrections to the EHD <br /> by February 22, 2024. <br /> Notes: <br /> 1. The inspecticn report was emailed to Facility Administrator, Courtney Vela, at courtney.vela(a2davita.com. <br /> 2. Tracking and training records were reviewed. <br /> 3. Stericycle is the medical waste hauler utilized by the facility. <br /> 4. There are two exam rooms in the Tracy PD.
