(Appendix 1) Note: BFI <br />Has been purchased by Stericylce <br />Any questions relating to the storage or disposal of <br />Biohazardous medical waste shall be directed to: <br />1- Lab Coordinator/ Lab Assistant <br />2- Director of research & marketing <br />Refer to the Environmental, Health and Safety Procedures <br />For the receiving & handling of Biohazardous materials & <br />Biohazardous waste. (EHS-01 1) <br />Decontamination: <br />Any contaminated Porous Materials will be treated as solid <br />Biohazardous waste and disposed of accordingly. <br />Examples include but are not limited to: <br />Bloody bandages <br />Smocks <br />Scrubs <br />Linen soaked with bodily fluids <br />Lab and Research Facility <br />All decontaminant (cleaning) solutions will be mixed with <br />Water and contain the following: <br />Pine -Sol (% cup per 1 gallon of water) <br />Mikro-Bac II ('/a cup per 1 gallon of water) <br />Immediately after use, all surgical equipment & <br />Instruments will be decontaminated as follows: <br />- contaminated equipment will be soaked and <br />
