Thank you. After reviewing your MWMP and Medical Waste
Spill Procedures, there is one correction that needs to be made. Broken containers(any sharps) must go
into a sharps waste container, not into a red biohazard bag. This prevents the bag from being punctured.
Please amend the Medical Waste Spill Procedures page and p. 7, letter J of the MWMP to reflect this
practice. You do not have to resend the entire MWMP,just the last page(p.7).
Also, as stated in the inspection report, once four consecutive weekly pickups of the medical waste
have occurred, send me the four copies of the treatment and tracking records. Thank you.
Ben Escotto
REHS
From: Stacy Pinola [mailto:spinola@deltacollege.edu]
Sent: Friday, June 24, 2011 11:59 AM
To: Benjamin Escotto [EH]
Subject: SJDC Medical Waste Inspection
Importance: High
Hi Ben
Sorry, my days have gotten away from me.
6/27/2011
