M N
It is the intent of the company to provide its health care facilities with a Policy and Procedure
Manual that will assist them in understanding our absolute commitment to follow the
principles of infection control and to provide an ongoing and consistent adherence to our
Infection Control Program.
ROLE
Each department manager/supervisor is responsible for assuring and enforcing participation
by their employees in the Infection Control Program for the protection of all personnel and
visitors. Each employee is responsible for learning and applying measures which protect
staff and visitors for risks of infection within the laundry. The Infection Control Program
requires that all individuals participate in surveillance, prevention and control of infections.
SCOPE
The Program encompasses knowledge of Universal Precautions and its applications to reduce
the risk of infection between or among staff; has responsibilities to the employee health
program; enforces adherence to department specific infection control policies; and maintains
the participation in Infection Control educational programs including the BBP Exposure
Control Plan.
Revised: December 2009
