HSC 118275 - Medical, biohazardous, sharps, trace chemo, pathology, or pharmaceutical waste shall be <br />segregated and contained pursuant to this section. The container shall be properly labeled. <br />OBSERVATION: One biohazardous waste container in Pod 1 was missing one label on the side. <br /> <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: This violation was corrected at the time of the inspection. <br />Biohazardous waste containers shall be labeled with the words “Biohazardous Waste” or with the international biohazard symbol <br />and the word “BIOHAZARD” on the lid and sides so as to be visible from any lateral direction. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />All violations were corrected at the time of the inspection. <br />No follow-up action needed. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />NOTES: <br />1. Medical waste hauler is Stericycle. Waste is picked up 2-3 times a week. <br />4. Waste streams: biohazardous, pharmaceutical, and sharps waste. <br />5. Tracking records were reviewed from 02/02/2024 – 03/05/2025. <br />6. Medical Waste Management Plan was reviewed and current. <br />7. Areas inspected: treatment floor and designated accumulation storage area.
