The storage area ordesignated area issecured bythe use oflocks onentry doors <br /> or lids and the key will be kept in the facility to be used by staff trained in the <br /> handling ofmedical waste. <br /> G. A nogimtanad hazardous waste hauler will transport all medical waste under <br /> contractual agreement with Satellite Healthcare. <br /> 7. The hazardous waste hauler will pick upand transport the medical waste inaleak- <br /> proof, fully enclosed container to an approved medical waste off-site treatment <br /> facility. <br /> 8. It is the hazardous waste hau|e/s responsibility to maintain all valid permits and/or <br /> licenses relevant hothe disposition ofmedical waste. <br /> S. In the event the regular hazardous waste hauler is unable to transport the waste, the <br /> state organization in charge of medical waste management will be contacted for the <br /> name ofanother Authorized Medical Waste Hauler. <br /> In California a list is maintained on the internstat <br /> DOCUMENTATION: <br /> 1. At the time the hazardous waste hauler receives the medical waste, he/she shall <br /> provide the medical facility with a copy of the tracking document for the generators <br /> medical waste records. <br /> 2. Both the generator and the hauler mustsign tracking documents. <br /> 3. Satellite Healthcare will keep the original tracking document copy on file for a <br /> minimum ofthree(3) years. <br />
