0 0 t-771% <br />Field Operations Policy and Procedures Lffjo <br />11.3 Vehicle Operation <br />Policy. Vehicles must be operated in a safe manner at all times. In addition to the procedures <br />below, all Company representatives that operate a vehicle on Company business must meet the <br />Company's Driver EligibilityRequirements. <br />Procedure. <br />1. General: <br />a. Drivers familiarize themselves with vehicles prior to using them for the first time. <br />b. When operating a vehicle on Company business, all dispatched drivers carry: <br />i. Current and legible destination directions (electronic or paper) when <br />transporting decedents and client families. <br />ii. Their driver's license. <br />iii. A communication device that remains active during all times that the dispatched <br />personnel are on duty. If it is necessary to use the communication device, pull <br />over and park the vehicle. Texting and/or sending and reading emails are <br />prohibited while operating any vehicle. <br />Ensure that infants and small children are properly secured in child safety seats <br />(provided and installed by the family). <br />d. Do not take professional vehicles to restaurants (including fast food drive-throughs) <br />unless traveling out of town. Check with the Location Manager for the policy with <br />respect to operational vehicles. <br />e. Prior to leaving the dispatching location, check the fuel level on the vehicle. Fill the <br />fuel tank if it is half full or less. <br />f. Always turn off the radio and air conditioner/heater before exiting the vehicle. <br />g. Lock all vehicles and return keys. <br />h. When not in use, store all vehicle keys in a secure location with limited access. <br />2. Transfers: <br />a.
