Field Operations Policy and Procedures CEO <br />12.2 Personal Protective Equipment <br />Policy. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be used at all points of contact with <br />decedents in conformance with Company standards (see the HSE3 Bloodborne Pathogens <br />procedure). <br />Procedure. <br />Follow PPE requirements according to Company Health, Safety and Environmental <br />(HSE) Compliance Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), HZ SE2 Appendix A. <br />12.3 Lifting <br />Policy. Lifting of decedents, caskets or cremation containers must be conducted by two people <br />or with the help of a Company -approved lifting device such as casket jacks or body lifts. <br />Movement of a casket or cremation container must be performed utilizing a church truck, casket <br />bier or casket dolly. See Injury and Illness Prevention for additional information. <br />12.4 Required Signage <br />Policy. Required signs must be posted in appropriate/specified places throughout the preparation <br />area. Signs not available through the inSCIder/Compan Sy tore can be ordered locally. <br />1. Identification. Post the following sign in areas where decedents are handled and <br />specifically at or near the areas where identification confirmation procedures occur, such <br />as preparation rooms, refrigeration units, cremation chambers and removal vans. <br />• Remember to confirm the identification on every <br />case: <br />• Upon Arrival <br />• Before Commencing Any Preparation Work <br />• Before Commencing Any Cremation <br />• Before Release <br />• In the event of any question or discrepancy, <br />STOP IMMEDIATELY.
