Know the corrective actions in the event of <br /> spills or personal exposure to fluids, blood, <br /> or tissues, the appropriate reporting <br /> procedures, and the medical monitoring in <br /> cases of suspected parenteral exposure . <br /> 1 . BLOOD OR BODY FLUID SPILLS : Should be <br /> cleaned while wearing latex or vinyl <br /> gloves . PERSONAL EXPOSURE TO BLOOD OR BODY <br /> FLUIDS: Any accidental skin contact with <br /> blood or body fluid should be washed <br /> thoroughly with soap and water. <br /> Any needlestick or cuts from sharp <br /> objects should also be cleansed with soap <br /> and water . <br /> All exposure to blood and body fluids <br /> must be .reported to the individual ' s <br /> immediate supervisor .
