RECEIVED <br /> C ` v /;U G <br /> MEDICAL WASTE DOCUMENTENVIRONMENTAL/ l <br /> Each office will maintain an information document which states how the generators contains,stores, <br /> treats,and disposes of any medical waste. <br /> The generators operate a common storage facility for collection of medical waste produced by small <br /> quantity generators operating independently,but sharing the common storage facilities. <br /> The medical waste includes the following: <br /> #1 Sharps waste <br /> #2 Biohazardous waste <br /> #3 Pharmaceutical waste <br /> #4 Developer and Fixer waste <br /> When waste is placed in the common storage facility it is important to complete the Log with the <br /> following information: <br /> #I Name of the generator(Drs.name and name of staff member placing the waste in the container) <br /> #2 Type of waste <br /> #3 Quantity of waste <br /> Sharps waste <br /> Place all sharps waste into a sharps container marked with the words"sharps waste"or with the <br /> international biohazard symbol and the word"BIOHAZARD". When the container is full place into the <br /> biohazard container in the common storage facility <br /> Biohazalydous waste <br /> Place all biohazardous waste into a red bag and then into a container marked with the word biohazard. <br /> When the container is full place into biohazard container in the common storage facility <br /> Pharmaceutical waste <br /> Place all pharmaceutical waste into a container marked with the word pharmaceutical and incineration only. <br /> When the container is full place into the pharmaceutical container in the common storage facility. <br /> Developer/Fixer <br /> Place all developer and fixer into a container marked with the word developer and fixer(separate <br /> containers).Then transfer to the containers marked with the word developer and fixer in the common <br /> storage facility(separate containers) (some generators are digital). <br /> The waste is picked up every 30 days by: <br /> Tritan International Services (RLT Enterprises) #4180 <br /> P.O.Box 1028 <br /> Apple Valley CA 92307 <br /> Phone 760-247-1222 <br /> Fax 760-247-0333 <br />
