Transport ALL amalgam waste (squeeze cloths, capsules, scrap amalgam, and extracted <br /> teeth with amalgam restorations)to the Sterilization area along with the contaminated <br /> instruments. <br /> _ 2. Locate the 1 quart white plastic container marked <br /> "Scrap Amalgam". Be careful to place only the scrap <br /> amalgam waste in this container. <br /> % j/j�i a �ii� /may��'y�✓,f� <br /> 3. Locate the container/bag for all contact <br /> waste "squeeze cloths", and"amalgam <br /> capsules". Place these mercury waste items in <br /> this container. —� <br /> 4. Locate the container for extracted <br /> teeth with Amalgam restorations. Place <br /> only extracted teeth with amalgam <br /> restorations in this container. (teeth must be <br /> rinsed then placed into container)DO NOT <br /> �X ADD ANY CHEMICAL TO THIS <br /> CONTAINER, place a small bio-hazard label <br /> on container. <br /> NOTE: All decayed extracted teeth and other bio-hazard waste must be disposed of in the sharps <br /> container located in the sterilization area.
