A detailed schematic of the property showing the location of the well, pressure tank,
backflow prevention assemblies, water lines (i.e. irrigation, fire, and domestic), the
existing/proposed septic system and the 100%replacement septic area, shall be provided
to the EHD. This document shall also clearly identify the distance between the location
of the well and all of the potential sources of contamination and pollution listed in
Section 3.1 of the San Joaquin County Public Health Services Environmental Health
Division Well Standards (enclosed).
2. The following water quality testing shall be performed with sampling and analysis by
state certified laboratory personnel at a state approved laboratory facility. The samples
shall be obtained from the wellhead and properly labeled by the laboratory as such.
a. Secondary(Aesthetics): Bicarbonate, carbonate, and hydroxide alkalinity, calcium,
iron, magnesium, manganese,p , sodium, and total hardness are due at least once
(California Code of Regulations(CCR),Title 22, Section 64449).
b. Inorganic Chemicals: Fluoride is due at least once(CCR, Title 22, Section 64432
(m)(1))•
C. Nitrate: If the results are over 1/2 of the MCL,then quarterly monitoring for one
year will be required. Otherwise, monitoring is annually(CCR, Title 22, Section
64432.1).
d. Nitrite: If the results are over %of the MCL,then quarterly monitoring for one
year will be required. Please be aware that bacteriological results
collected for a system in a calendar month shall be reported to the Department no
later than the tenth day of the following month.
3. The enclosed Sample Siting Plan shall be completed and provided to the EHD and the
analytical laboratory.
4. The driller's well log shall be submitted to the EHD with an updated technical report as
required by the Health and Safety( S) Code, Section 116530.
5.
