CALIFORNIA REGIONAL WATER QUALITY C014TROL BOARD <br /> CENTRAL VALLEY REGION <br /> 3201 ' S ' Street <br /> Sacramento, California 95816 <br /> NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING <br /> and <br /> Notice of Application for Taste Discharge Requirements <br /> (National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Permit) <br /> for <br /> J-M Manufacturing Company, Inc. and <br /> J- A/C Pipe Corporation <br /> San Joaquin County <br /> J-M Manufacturing Company, Inc. and J-M A/C Pipe Corporation have <br /> applied for renewal of NPDES Permit No. CA 0004464 . The new, <br /> and existing, permits allow discharge of cooling water from the <br /> ball mill and wastewater from grit removal to Littlejohn Creek. <br /> The new permit lowers the allowable total wastewater discharge <br /> from 190 , 000 gallons per day to 60, 000 gallons per day. The new <br /> permit also adds effluent limitations for total dissolved solids, <br /> total organic carbon, settleable matter, and asbestos . Effluent <br /> limits for suspended solids have not been changed. <br /> A public meeting concerning this matter will be held: <br /> DATE: 25 January 1985 <br /> TIME: 10 : 00 a.m. <br /> PLACE City Council Chambers <br /> 555 Washington Street <br /> Red Bluff, California <br /> Persons wishing to comment on or object to the proposed require- <br /> ments are invited to submit same in writing to the Regional Board <br /> no later than 24 January 1985 . All comments or objections <br /> received by this date will be considered in the draft waste <br /> discharge requirements. <br /> A public hearing may be held upon the request of any interested <br /> person . After considering comments or objections, the Board may <br /> issue waste discharge requirements. <br /> Anyone having questions on these requirements should contact the <br /> area engineer ,- Gary Reents , at ( 916 ) 324 -8890 .
