Volwiler, Plant Manager
Gentlemen:
REPORT
RESULTS OF CHEMICAL TESTS
ON WATER AND SOIL SAMPLES
JOHNS-MANVILLE PLANT
STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA
INTRODUCTION
In this report we present the results of chemical analyses ;
made on samples of soil and water collected at the Johns-
Manville plant in Stockton, California .
We understand that the plant process water is pumped
into existing storage basins located on the plant project .
Thewaste material, primarily asbestos and cement, is deposited
in these basins and is subsequently cleaned out and hauled off
the site. The purposes of our investigation have been to
obtain basic data on the possible effect of the stored water
on the groundwater quality. Our scope of work was outlined
in our proposal dated March 22, 1972.
{
2Hi5 EASI M ST1,CF .
