Recently,the EHD received an inquiry from a <br /> potential buyer for the property. <br /> For your information,the property is on inventory with EHD as a Closed,Illegal,or Abandoned Landfill site. An <br /> environmental site assessment was completed as required by the California Integrated Waste Management Board in <br /> July of 1994. Residential,commercial,industrial,recreational,or environmentally sensitive areas are within one <br /> mile of the facility and potential releases of landfill gas,leachate or threats of pollution remain as possible concerns. <br /> Historical information reveals that auto shredder and other wastes were disposed of on site and may pose a threat to <br /> the environment or public health. <br /> Should your department receive any inquires regarding this site,landfill postclosure requirements and hazardous <br /> waste regulations are specified in Title 14,California Code of Regulations(CCR),Section 17796,and Title 22, <br /> CCR,respectively. Postclosure plans should be submitted to the EHD,with a$390.00 review fee.
