• July 25, 2007 • 0
OPERATION AND MANAGEMENT PLAN
3202 MOURFIELD ROAD
STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA
OUR PROJECT NUMBER: E07124A
1.0 INTRODUCTION
• Neil 0. Anderson & Associates, Inc. (NOA) has prepared this Operation and
Management Plan (0&M Plan) for the Verizon Wireless Building located at 3202
Mourfield Road, Stockton, California. The Building is within 1,000 feet of the boundary
of a disposal area. This building is designed with a passive methane gas migration
system located below the floor slab with a vent to the outside, along with two methane
gas sensors.
2.0 POLICY
• The methane migration system will need to be maintained and operated in a
manner that assures compliance with regulatory agencies.
• Maintenance Personnel shall be instructed and trained on how to monitor the
readings and what to do in case of an alarm.
• A copy of this 0&M Plan shall be available for all persons working on the
property. Personnel shall be familiar with its contents and will be trained in
operating the system.
• In case of a problem with the system, appropriate corrective actions need to be
conducted immediately.
•
3.0 DESCRIPTION OF SYSTEM OPERATION
The passive methane migration system allows any build up of gases beneath the slab
floor to be vented to the atmosphere and to act as a barrier between the subfloor and
the work space. Any possible gas produced from the nearby disposal area that rises to
beneath the slab of the building will enter the gravel subfloor. This gas within the
gravel may then enter the horizontal pipes located beneath the slab within the gravel
and travel up through the pipe, up the vent, and exit out the pipe protruding from the
roof of the building. One sensor is located within the vens to detect any methane gas
'-*44
• 902 Industrial Way-Lodi, CA 95240
209 367 3701-Fax 209.369 4228 02007 Neil O.Anderson&Associates,Inc
