Charter Way <br /> Stockton, CA <br /> (APN No.: 163-340-09) <br /> June 21,2013 <br /> GPE Project No.667.2 <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> 1 The subject property is an industrial parcel in western Stockton. It is situated on the <br /> North side of W. Charter Way just east of the San Joaquin River bridge. The parcel <br /> currently is vacant but has been used in part as a concrete pipe manufacturing plant. Part <br /> of the land was formerly used as a landfill, which was operated by the City of Stockton. <br /> The general location of the landfill is known but the exact footprint and depth is <br /> unknown. This Work Plan outlines the procedures, protocols, and methods to be used to <br /> install a grid of 24 soil borings to further investigate extent of the former landfill to the <br /> depth of the groundwater surface, or slight below. The landfill is believed to be relatively <br /> small with a likely footprint of 5 to 8 acres. <br /> The actual area of the landfill may be somewhat less than the governing regulatory <br /> 1 agency (CalRecycle) does.
