Arcady Oil Company -2- <br /> My inspection found that the Arcady Oil Company has violated and <br /> threatens continued violation of the following specifications and <br /> provisions of Board Order No. 70-152: <br /> A. <br /> 1. The treatment or disposal of waste shall not cause <br /> pollution, or a nuisance. <br /> 2. Waste materials shall be confined to the designated <br /> disposal area shown on Attachment A. <br /> 3. The disposal area shall be protected from any washout: <br /> or erosion of wastes or covering material, and from <br /> inundation, which could occur as a result of floods <br /> having a predicted frequency of once in 100 years. <br /> 4. Group 1 and Group 2 wastes shall not be deposited <br /> at this site. Waste shall be limited to nontoxic <br /> drilling mud (free of oil, grease, and heavy metals ) . <br /> 5 . The erosion of deposited waste material from the <br /> disposal area shall be prevented. <br /> 6. A minimum freeboard of two feet (0.61 m) shall be <br /> maintained in each lagoon to prevent waste overflow. <br /> 7. Discharge of wastes to surface waters or to surface <br /> drainage courses is prohibited. <br /> 8. The discharger shall remove and relocate any wastes <br /> which are discharged at this site in violation of <br /> these requirements. <br /> 9. The discharge shall not -cause a degradation of any <br /> water supply. <br /> B. Provisions <br /> 1 . Arcady Oil Company shall maintain a copy of this <br /> order at the site so as to be available at all times <br /> to site operating personnel . <br /> 2.
