Page 7
the exhausted site . Grading for this use will be completed in
Phase III-A. The low permiability of the soils in this area should
preclude any requirements for monitoring leaching methane gas .
Phase I-B: development of Parcel B, which will take place in
March of 1980 . This work will consist of constructing haul roads ,
developing water facilities, building restrooms , etc. Phase II-B:
fill operations of Parcel B , beginning in August 1980 and completed
in September 1988 . Phase III-B: site closure . The tentative
plan for this parcel upon closure dXy.,Land far in&,-, The
grading for a minimum of 1 . 5% slope necessary for farming will be
provided-4-a-Phase II-B. The uniform plane of the landfill site
is such that the grading plan is not necessary. The site when
closed will conform to the attached cross-section drawing. No
borrow area will be left after site closure.
The portion of the site north of Little John Creek noted
as inactive landfill area is not within the City limits of the
City of Stockton. The condition of this area is such that exten-
sive gradingwillbe necessary to provide the drainage required
for agricultural uses . For that reason, it is probable that
permits for placing additional waste to establish suitable grade
in this inactive area will be required.
ItemW, See attached.
Item #9 . Attached is the report of test borings at Austin Road
sanitary landfill site, Stockton, California, by J . H. Klein-
