Washington
6055 East Washington Blvd. FEB 0 3 1953
Commerce, CA 90040 ENVIRONMENTAL HEWO
RE: Landfill Gas Condensate For Dust Control PERM IT/SERV ICES
Dear Mr. Washington:
Before giving Pacific Energy authorization to dispose of landfill gas condensate by using it as
a dust suppressant, the District will have to be satisfied that there will be no significant risk to
any potential receptors as a result.
During a phone conversation with District Engineer Mark Schonhoff, Pacific Energy agreed to
submit a health risk assessment in order to quantify the risk to potential receptors. A health risk
assessment has not been received and therefore the District cannot approve the proposal at this
time.
A phone conversation with Ed Padilla of San Joaquin County Environmental Health revealed that
they are the lead agency in this case so the District will also require a letter from them stating
that they have approved the proposal.
If you have any questions please contact Mark Schonhoff at (209) 545-7000. Please direct your
response to Mark Schonhoff.
Seyed Sadredin
Director Of Permit Services
Antho ndes
Permit ervices Manager
SS/AM/MJS " I
cc: Edward Padilla
David L.Crow
Executive DirectorlAir Pollution Control Officer
1999 Tuolumne Street,Suite 200-Fresno,CA 93721-(209)497-1000-FAX(209)233-2057
Northern Region Central Region Southern Region
4230 Kiernan Avenue,Suite 130-Modesto,CA 95356 1999 Tuolumne Street,Suite 200-Fresno,CA 93721 2700 M Street,Suite 275-Bakersfield.CA 93301
(209)545-7000-Fax(209)545-8652 (209)497-1000-Fax(209)233-2057 (805)861.3682-Fax(805)861-2060
®Punted on Recycled Paper.
