I ) I ;-IL1l 1-N11I NJ of f I.)tfl Il J✓O141<�3 <br />2 <br />May 22, 1991 <br />Dear Haulers: <br />oil <br />Sea fie- S <br />STOPPAGE OF ACCEPTANCE OF WASTE TIRES AT AUSTIN ROAD --LANDFILL <br />This is to notify you that effective July 1, 1991, the City's <br />Austin Road Landfill will stop accepting waste tires by the <br />truckload. <br />We understand that occasionally there will be a few waste tires in <br />the commercial bins, and it is impossible for the haulers to <br />inspect and pull them out from every single bin. Our landfill <br />operator is instructed to accept waste tires under such conditions. <br />However, our intention is to stop the acceptance of truckloads full <br />of waste tires. - <br />Because of diminishing landfill capacity and the California <br />Integrated Waste Management Act requirements, we encourage all <br />haulers to find ways to recycle waste tires.
