Landfill Green Waste Alternative Daily Cover (GWADC) <br />Project. San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division (EHD) <br />will continue weekly project monitoring and submit bimonthly <br />reports to the Calif. Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB). <br />PERFORMANCE STANDARDS MONITORONG OBSERVATIONS AT BOTH LANDFILLS: <br />Flies -Very few or no flies have been observed during this <br />monitoring period. <br />Mosquitos, cockroaches, Wasps, and other vectors -None have been <br />observed. <br />Domestic Rats or Field Rodents -None have been observed. <br />Odor -None or insignificant. <br />Fire Hazard -low <br />Litter -litter has been a concern periodically. <br />PROBLEMS OBSERVED WITH THIS PROJECT: <br />1) At Austin Rd. Landfill (ARL) there have been instances of <br />using the geosynthetic tarp too much as an alternative daily <br />cover. Green waste has been in short supply and operator is <br />relying predominantly on use of the tarps or combination of tarp <br />and green waste to cover wastes daily. <br />A Dig Of iu.hluin County Health Care Sen-ir !S <br />
