CA 95201-0388 cq , • • • • • •. <br />209/468-3420 <br />August 22, 1995 <br />California Integrated Waste Management Board <br />8800 Cal Center Drive <br />Sacramento, CA 95826 <br />Attn: Scott Walker <br />Re: Austin Road Landfill, Permit #39 -AA -0001, Preliminary Closure/Postclosure Plan <br />San Joaquin County <br />Attached are some of our Departments concerns regarding the "Revised" Preliminary <br />Closure/Postclosure Plan: <br />1) What is the cost of the soil if it has to be brought in? <br />2) What are the costs associated with compaction? <br />3) How come the number of loads are the same for one foot of compacted <br />soil, as for one foot of non -compacted soil in the vegetative layer? <br />4) The vicinity map does not show one mile in all directions (ex: the <br />women's prison at Arch and Austin Road is not shown.
