(CASE NO. 2148)
We have reviewed the Second Quarter 2003 Monitoring Report submitted on 15 July 2003 for the
Austin Road Landfill. The enclosed Monitoring Report Compliance Checklists summarizes our
comments on the report. The report is complete.
Revised Waste Discharge Requirements were adopted in March combining the monitoring requirements
for Austin Road and old Forward Landfills. In the future, a single monitor report covering both the
Austin Road and old Forward sites should be submitted.
The VOCs and inorganic parameters elevated above concentration limits in groundwater are consistent
with previous results and there is no evidence of an additional release of contaminants to groundwater.
If you have any questions please call me at(916)255-3814.
Ross D.
