The facility accepts class II waste predominately from the Stockton area. The
facility was reactivated on January 8,2001 after it was purchased by Forward Inc./Allied Waste North America from the City of Stockton
Public Works Department. Because of groundwater contamination originating from the site, the facility is currently accepting the
maximum daily tonnage allowed in.order to fill the remaining capacity and put an intermediate cap on the site. The land surrounding the
facility is rangeland, agricultural and residential. Native soil is used as daily cover. Forward Inc./Allied Waste North America eventually
plans to merge the facility with the adjacent Forward Inc. landfill.
Previous Inspection Results:
The previous State inspection of this facility was conducted on August 29,2000. At that time the State was also acting as the Enforcement
Agency for the City of Stockton. No violations or areas of concern were noted as part of Title 27,California Code of Regulations,
Division 2,Subdivision 1,CIWMB Regulations for Treatment,Storage, Processing or Disposal of Solid Waste.
Section Supervisor Integrated waste Management Specialist /
