New streambed for the Little John's Creek. <br /> Eventually the creek will be planted with native species and rejoined with the creek on the western edge of the landfill. <br /> Previous Inspection Results: <br /> The previous State inspection of this facility was conducted on February 28,2001. No violations or areas of concern were noted as part of <br /> Title 27,California Code of Regulations(27 CCR),Division 2,Subdivision 1,CIWUB Regulations for Treatment,Storage,Processing or <br /> Disposal of Solid Waste. <br /> Inspection Results: <br /> CI WMB staff conducted the 18-month inspection pursuant to 30 Public Resources Code(30 PRC),Section 43220. The inspection <br /> identified no violations of 30 PRC. <br /> The facility was also evaluated for compliance with 27 CCR,Division 2,Subdivision 1,CIWM]3 Regulations for Treatment,Storage, <br /> Processing or Disposal of Solid Waste. The inspection identified no violations or areas of concern of 27 CCR. <br /> Comments: <br /> Upon arrival at the landfill,native soil was being deposited on the top deck of the landfill as part of the closure process. No vectors or <br /> litter was observed during the inspection. No daylighting was observed. A water truck was controlling dust. <br /> A check of the facilities records proved adequate. A check of the facilities gas monitoring results indicated a reading of 4.1 percent <br /> methane by volume in Gas Probe 313,which is below the 5 percent lower explosive limit(LEL). However,methane readings exceeded the <br /> LEL in June and July. CI WMB staff understands that the operator recently submitted a Gas Monitoring Probe Working Plan to the LEA. <br /> It is advised that the LEA continue to monitor the gas levels at Austin Road/Forward Landfill diligently. <br /> 2 Integrated Waste Management Specialist <br />
