As required by the notification
conditions of nationwide permit 26 (NW -26), I am writing to request water quality certification or
waiver for construction of this project. A copy of the NW -26 predischarge notification package is
enclosed. An environmental impact report on the project was prepared (Environmental Sciences
Associates 1993) and a copy can be sent to your office by the City upon request.
The mitigation concept plan includes relocating the creek to the north of the existing Austin
Road Landfill site. In addition, this plan provides for revegetation of 39.40 acres of riparian habitat,
significantly exceeding that of the present creek location.
A check in the amount of $500.00 is enclosed for certification fees. Please call me if you have
any questions.
Sincerely,
John Zanzi
Project Manager
"M
Enclosures
cc: Michael Miller, City of Stockton
Stephen Chen, City of Stockton
.
