The information necessary for documenting chain of custody is outlined in the <br />following section of the quality assurance manual (section 7). After filling out the proper <br />sample documentation, the samples and documents should be placed in an ice chest with <br />adequate protection. Normally "Blue Ice" is used for keeping samples cool. However, <br />dry ice may be used if approved by Department of Transportation (DOT). <br />6.6.3 Sample Kits <br />FGL Environmental supplies the appropriate sample containers, preservatives, <br />chain -of -custody forms, coolers with blue ice, and packing materials to client upon <br />request. There is no charge for these services as long as FGL is the laboratory receiving <br />the samples for analysis. Arrangements for sample kits may be made through the client <br />services department. <br />E <br />
