10 WINTER OPERATIONS <br /> The CDPW will develop winter plans for approval by the LEA. After <br /> approval by the LEA, the County will direct the Operator to <br /> implement the plans. Some elements included in the winter plans <br /> which the Operator will implement are described below. <br /> 10.1 Stockpiling <br /> The winter operations will include use of a stockpile from <br /> excavation which is near the winter work area. The Operator will <br /> perform the excavations for the stockpile, place the soil on the <br /> stockpile, and construct drainage ditches for the stockpile to <br /> permit usage by heavy equipment during rainy conditions. <br /> The stockpile shall be constructed according to CDPW <br /> specifications. <br /> The County will indicate the amount of material to be stockpiled <br /> for the upcoming winter operations by July 31 prior to rainy <br /> season. The Operator shall perform the stockpile activities, as <br /> specified by the County, by October 15 of each year. <br /> 10.2 Drainage <br /> The Operator shall provide for construction of drainage control <br /> features during winter operations as specified in Section 7, <br /> Drainage. <br /> 10.3 Location of Winter operations <br /> The location for winter operations shall be as specified in the <br /> winter plans as approved by the LEA. Should conditions arise which <br /> make this infeasible, the Operator shall obtain approval from the <br /> CDPW prior to using an alternate disposal area. <br /> 29 <br />
