Columbia JAN 2 7 1995
ServiceSinc.
December 14,1994 Service Request No: S941528
Ms. Janine Asmus
EMCON Associates
1433 N Market Blvd
Sacramento, CA 95834
Re: Foothill Landfill / 0939-004.08
Dear Ms. Asmus:
Attached are the results of the water samples submitted to our lab on November 30,
1994. For your reference, these analyses have been assigned our service request
number S941528.
As requested, sample results are being reported to the lowest limit of detection, or
Method Detection Limit (MDL). This is a deviation from the standard CAS practice of
reporting only target analytes detected above the MRL.
It should be noted that the method detection limit is a statistically derived number.
It is determined through repeated analyses of a blank matrix spiked at low levels on
similar equipment, typically once a year. Detection and accurate quantitation of a
target analyte at or near the method detection limit is not necessarily achievable for
this specific sample matrix, on this instrument, on this day. Therefore, values
determined above the MDL but below the PQL are reported as "Trace".
All analyses were performed consistent with our laboratory's quality assurance
program. All results are intended to be considered in their entirety, and CAS is not
responsible for use of less than the complete report. Results apply only to the
samples analyzed.
Please call if you have any questions.
Respectfully submitted:
Keoni A.
