Wood bros continued to grade the Drainage aggregate for the LCRS system utilizing the
D6LGP with a laser set-up and a laborer watching for wrinkles. Wood Bros continued placement of
operations soil on to the northern portion of Module 1. Wood Bros. placed the 12" secondary riser pipe
utilizing the backhoe and laborers. Wood Bros continued to maintain moisture in the subgrade utilizing the
water truck.
Tri State poured 14 yards of concrete from American Transit mix Inc, to construct the walls for the
containment pad and sump. 4 cylinders were sampled from the 1St load for conformance testing
D&E continued installation of Bentofix NWL 35 GCL, 60mil double textured liner geocomposite and
geotextile filter fabric. D&E deployed geocomposite in the sump area, geotextile filter fabric on the northern
floor, GCL and liner on the southern slope of Module 1. D&E installed a total of 26 panels of GCL totaling
approximately 19,17062 and 19 panels of geomembrane totaling approximately 20,702ft2 all anels were
overlapped and seamed per specifications. D&E deployed a total of approximately 144,0006 of filter
geotextile. The textile was sewn seamed with 6" overlap. D&E placed a total of 17,40062 of geocomposite in
the sump and up the eastern slope. All panels were tied a 4' intervals and sewn together. D&E performed
repairs and air tests to the liner.
Vector Engineering, Inc. CQA attended the weekly construction meeting @ North County. CQA observed
placement and pulled a sample of the LCRS drainage aggregate imported today. CQA ran a sieve analysis on
the drainage aggregate with .56% passing the #200. CQA observed and logged subgrade acceptance, panel
deployment, start-up, seaming, air tests and repairs performed on the liner materials. CQA marked
destructive samples for conformance testing.
Vector discussed with Wood Bros. next concrete pour will be next Wednesday.
File Name: Foothill Landfill Prepared By: Frank Dell -Era Reviewed By:
