SECTION 02777 <br /> GEOSYNTHETIC CLAY LINER (GCL) <br /> PART1 GENERAL <br /> 1.1 WORK INCLUDED <br /> A. This section covers the Work necessary to furnish and install Geosynthetic Clay <br /> Liner(GCL) on the side slopes of WMU FU-04, complete. <br /> B. The GEOSYNTHETICS CONTRACTOR shall furnish all labor, supervision, <br /> tools, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the GCL installation <br /> including, but not limited to, submittals, panel layout, seaming, temporary <br /> anchorage, and all necessary and incidental items required to complete the Work <br /> in accordance with these Specifications and the Construction Drawings. The <br /> EARTHWORK CONTRACTOR will excavate and backfill anchor trenches. The <br /> EARTHWORK CONTRACTOR will unload the GCL if the GEOSYNTHETICS <br /> CONTRACTOR is not onsite. <br /> C. The GEOSYNTHETICS CONTRACTOR shall be prepared to install the GCL <br /> sequentially with the subgrade preparation, geomembrane installation, placement of <br /> soil cover materials, and installation of the other components of the liner system. <br /> D. Prior to, during, and after installation, GCL shall not be allowed to hydrate and/or <br /> come in contact with water. <br /> 1.2 REFERENCES <br /> A.
