2. The supplier has a large enough operation and the necessary experience to <br /> supply and support the construction on a timely basis. <br /> 3. Past experience in the design and construction of at least 10 projects of a similar <br /> magnitude of the proposed system can be documented. <br /> B. Pre-Construction Conference - Prior to the installation of the geogrid, the <br /> GEOSYNTHETICS CONTRACTOR shall arrange a meeting at the site with the <br /> geogrid material supplier and, where applicable, the geogrid installer. The OWNER, <br /> DESIGN ENGINEER, and QA/QC CONSULTANT shall be notified at least 3 days <br /> in advance of the time of the meeting. The representative of the geogrid supplier shall <br /> be available on an "as-needed"basis during construction. <br /> 1.6 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING <br /> A. Storage and Protection <br /> 1. Prevent excessive mud, wet concrete, epoxy, or other deleterious materials from <br /> coming in contact with and affixing to the geogrid materials. <br /> 2. Store at temperatures above -20 degrees F (-29 degrees C). <br /> 3. Rolled materials may be laid flat or stood on end. <br /> PART 2 PRODUCTS <br /> 2.1 MANUFACTURERS <br /> A. Acceptable Suppliers - An approved source is The Tensar Corporation, Morrow, GA <br /> or their designated representative. <br /> B. Alternate suppliers may be acceptable with written authorization of the DESIGN <br /> ENGINEER. <br /> 2.2 MATERIALS <br /> A.
