Likely problems include either failure of the leachate pump or failure of the level <br />sensor/control that cycles the pump in response to rising and falling leachate levels. The County <br />will make repairs as needed. <br />3.3 Post Closure Maintenance Cost Estimate <br />Post closure maintenance costs for FSL are estimated to be $1.43 million per year (2010 dollars) <br />(Subappendix C, Table 2). <br />Post closure financial assurance is provided by a Pledge of Revenue from the Solid Waste <br />Enterprise Fund (see Joint Technical Document). <br />Financial assurance for corrective action against a reasonably foreseeable release is required <br />throughout the active and postclosure phases of landfill development.
