TABLE 2 <br />INTERFACE SHEAR TEST CONFIGURATION (TEST SERIES 4 and 5 - SANDWICH TEST) <br />FOOTHILL SANITARY LANDFILL -AREA 2A, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CA <br />Notes: <br />1. Foundation Laver and Sideslope Subgrade Soil <br />• Foundation Layer soil and Sideslope Subgrade soil are the same materials that have been shipped to SGI. <br />• Compact Foundation Layer soil and Sideslope Subgrade soil at 90 percent relative compaction and OMC + 4% based on ASTM D1557 (ydm_ = 98.5 pcf, OMC = 23.0%). <br />2. LCRS Gravel <br />• Use rounded to subangular gravel, 3/4"+/- nominal size, with 20% of sand. <br />3. Operations Layer Soil <br />• Loosely tamp the Operations Layer soil at its natural moisture content. <br />4. Soak the GCL separately outside the shear box at 125 psf, Apply normal stress first and then start soaking. <br />S. For the Base Liner, spray lower surface of GCL and upper surface of geomembrane with distilled water. <br />6. For the Side Slope Liner, spray lower surface of geocomposite, both surfaces of geomembrane and upper surface of GCL with distilled water. <br />7. Please measure and report asperity height of geomembrane (both sides). <br />8.
