Sathees Contractor: R J Gordon Construction, Inc. M. Hu and Weather: Clear Wind: 0-10 mph Tem erature: Ap2rox. range 70-105 F Other: The contractor worked from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. Excavation: In the afternoon, Up to (1) CAT D8 dozer and (2) CAT 627 scrapers continued excavating Drainage Basin 2 at southeast of the project area, and hauled the material to the South Stockpile 3. (1) Hitachi 300 excavator also excavated the slopes at drainage basin. Excavation activity was stopped at 3:30 pm. (1) CAT 621 water pull was used to maintain excavations, haul roads and stockpile areas. Slope Subgrade Preparation: in the afternoon, (1) CAT D6 (LGP) dozer was used for finish grading the north and east slopes. Access Road: In the morning, up to (1) CAT D8 dozer and (1) CAT D6 dozer over -excavated the existing subgrade at northwest and south in order to construct the 95% -compacted earthfill subgrade for the Access road (upper 2.5 feet layer). Up to (2) CAT 627 scrapers hauled the material to the Northwest stockpile (for use as Daily Cover). Foundation Layer: The Contractor continued processing and fine grading the surface soil in order to achieve smooth and clod -free surface, which is required prior to liner installation. (1) Vibratory -type CAT CS54B smooth -drum roller was used to break the clods and to compact the Foundation soil at the surface. (1) CAT 14H motorgrader was used for spreading, mixing and fine grading the soil. (1) CAT 621 water pull was used to moisture -condition the Foundation soil. AES walked portions of the floor and observed scattered cobbles on the surface were hand-picked and removed. Sump Construction: (1) Hitachi 300 excavator excavated the trench at east slope for installation of 24 -inch HDPE primary riser pipes. North West Stockpile: The scrapers hauled and stockpile the soil from the excavation at Access road subgrade. South Stockpile 1 (Foundation): No activity was observed. South Stockpile 2 (Operations): No activity was observed. South Stockpile 3: The scrapers hauled and stockpile the soil from the excavation at Drainage Basin 2 at southeast corner of the project area. Geosynthetics: (2) laborers from Great Basin onsite to begin filling sandbags with soil from the operations layer stockpile. Equipment Onsite: (1) CAT D8T dozer, (1) CAT D6T LGP dozer, (1) CAT D6R dozer (with slope board) (1) CAT 621G water pull, (4) CAT 627 scrapers, (1) 14H motorgrader, (1) CAT 825H compactor, (1) water truck, (1) Hitachi 300 excavator, (1) CAT CS 54B smooth drum roller (vibratory type), (1) CAT TH160B folk lift, (1) CAT side -boom winch smooth drum roller, (1) CAT 430D backhoe.
