s <br /> D. A description of how the soil samples were <br /> collected and statement of how the composite <br /> sampling was done should be submitted. <br /> E. Contaminated soils must be tested for waste <br /> oil, diesel, gasoline (leaded, unleaded) , <br /> chlorinated solvents, and total petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons (TPH) . See Attachment. <br /> F. The standard reporting form must contain the <br /> generating facility's site address. <br /> 3. PROHIBITIONS <br /> A. No contaminated soils with waste oil may be <br /> accepted. <br /> B. No contaminated soils with more than 1000 ppm <br /> TPH may be accepted. <br /> 4. STORAGE AND TREATMENT <br /> A. Petroleum hydrocarbons soils shall be stored <br /> on WMU G. <br /> B. Soil piles shall be covered except during <br /> treatment process. <br /> C. Identification of all soil jobs shall be <br /> posted at the contaminated soil storage area. <br /> D. A verification test shall be conducted to <br /> substantiate that the contamination level is <br /> reduced to less than 100 ppm TPH and less than <br /> 0.7 ppm Benzene. This soil may then be <br /> disposed of by: <br /> I. Use as daily cover <br /> II. Use as intermediate cover <br /> III. Co-disposal with non-hazardous wastes <br /> E. Aerated soil which is reduced to a level of <br /> less than 500 ppm TPH and less than 0.7 ppm <br /> Benzene may be used as a foundation layer of <br /> cap at closure. <br /> 5. A copy of the Air Pollution permit for aeration must be <br /> provided to the Environmental Health Division. <br /> These operating procedures shall go into effect immediately. These <br /> operating procedures will be evaluated on an annual basis. As <br /> technologies advance and waste-disposal data is known the operating <br /> procedures may be revised. <br />
