Recycling is accomplished <br /> at Forward, Inc. by hand-picking the large materials and <br /> running the rest of the commercial-industrial waste over a <br /> belt for additional sorting. The wood is chipped on site and <br /> sold for fuel. After recycling, the amount landfilled in 1992 <br /> was 88,792 tons. <br /> 3.
