PROCEDURE <br />Anyone aware of a hazardous emergency should follow these steps. <br />* Contain the problem if possible with out endangering yourself or others. <br />* Evacuate the area. <br />* Notify anyone in the area of the emergency and to evacuate. <br />* Dial 911. <br />STAY CALM. This will help you relay the necessary information to 911. <br />* Tell them you are calling from Forward, Inc. Landfill. <br />* Give the address of the emergency and the cross streets. <br />* 9999 South Austin Road, Manteca, California,'between Arch Road <br />and French Camp Road, north of Little John's Creek. <br />* Give the telephone number you are calling from: (209) 982-4298. <br />* Your first and last name. <br />* Give the name and quantity of materials involved, to the extent known. <br />* Give the extent of injuries, if any. <br />* What is being done for the victim(s). <br />* Possible hazards to human health, or the environment, outside the facility. <br />* What action (if any) has been taken for containment, etc. of the problem. <br />Let 911 hang un first. Wait to hear the dial tone before hanging up. <br />* Contact Site Operations Manager or Foreman and notify them of the <br />emergency and what actions you have taken. <br />* Follow the load checking program. If hazardous materials are discovered that <br />are not containerized such that reloading of the waste onto the vehicle is not <br />possible, the area is marked off, and all employees evacuate the spill area. The <br />following agencies are notified of the spill: <br />* (911) The Local Emergency Response Agency, Fire Jurisdiction. <br />* (209) 468 3969 The Local Administering Agency, San Joaquin County <br />Office of Emergency Services (OES). <br />* (800) 852 7550 Govemoes Office of Emergency Services Warning Center. <br />* (209) 468 3240 San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental <br />Health Division. <br />The appropriate emergency agency will handle the containment and clean-up of the <br />spill. The incident is recorded on a load check occurrence sheet or spiU/Ieak occurrence <br />sheet. <br />
