Each specimen of Geomembrane was cut to 14"x 17"and floated between the upper and lower box. <br /> 2. The clay was remolded in the upper box to the specified compaction requirements. <br /> 3. The 5/16"pea gravel was lightly tamped into place in the lower box. <br /> 4. All test points were consolidated for 2 hours at the specified normal stress,then sheared. <br /> 5. Shearing occurred at the interface between the clay and the textured side of the Geomembrane specimen at test points 2 and 3. <br /> 6. Shearing occurred at the interface between the pea gravel and the smooth side of the Geomembrane specimen at test point 1. <br /> 7.
