SAC31583.AC.ZZ <br />Introduction <br />This technical memorandum presents the results of our ,,geotechnical exploration for the <br />stability and settlement analyses for the proposed Forward Landfill Extension Project <br />southeast of Stockton, California. This memorandum inGkules theTesults.,of field <br />exploration, laboratory testing, and engineering analyses. <br />Purpose and Scope <br />The purpose of this technical memorandum is to present the results of the stability and <br />settlement analyses and to provide geotechnical recommendations and considerations for the <br />proposed Forward Landfill Extension project. The scope of work performed for this project <br />included the following:_ <br />Review available geotechnical and geologic information in the vicinity of the <br />site <br />• A drilling exploration program consisting of four soil borings <br />• Laboratory testing including strength, consolidation, and index testing on <br />selected samples recovered from the borings <br />Engineering analyses (based on the field exploration and laboratory testing) to <br />evaluate the static and dynamic stability of the proposed landfill extension, and <br />to estimate foundation settlement under additional waste fill loads - <br />
